I Just Applied to Join the Ford Fiesta Movement!

Modified Ford Fiesta

Modified Ford Fiesta from Barrett Jackson Scottsdale 2010

Well – our applications have just been submitted and our fingers are crossed! After a smashing success with the first chapter of the Fiesta Movement, Ford has decided to launch a second round – and my buddy Matt Kulka and I have applied to be a team.

Matt is a Systems Administrator at PayPal – and I’m a digital marketer at iCrossing. We’re both Audi guys, but we’re both former Ford owners as well. Ford’s new Fiesta is a European car adapted for the US market – something us German car drivers can appreciate. And as you can see in the picture above, it is a nice looking car, especially with a nice stance and aftermarket wheels!

If chosen, we will be given a free 2011 Ford Fiesta for one year with free gas and insurance, and in turn will be sent on missions and be responsible for promoting the Fiesta locally as well as over the internets. We’ll use our tech skills to blog, tweet, and produce videos and pictures to promote the car. We’ll use our car knowledge and connections in the tuner scene to show just what the car is capable of. And we’ll be sure to take it on plenty of drives and cruises as well.

Who knows, maybe I’ll even become a Ford owner again myself! I did have quite a bit of fun at the Ford Ride & Drive booth at Barrett Jackson – courtesy of a professional race car driver, a Shelby Mustang GT500, some burnt rubber and orange pylons!

Just a side note: When it comes high performance and modified cars, one issue that does arise is the increased insurance rates. One way to save is by comparing insurance quotes online.

I’ve been an avid follower of Nick’s car adventures via his blog and his Facebook page. As a wannabe car person who just hasn’t had the time to figure out much more than what looks nice and how to drive a standard automobile — I know I live vicariously through Nick on this front. I’m quite certain others do, too… I think that’s reason enough to consider this team. Good luck, Nick! You better let me test drive the Ford Fiesta if you win!

Thanks Ben! You got it. I live viacariously through your cooking and restaurant marketing, so how about we trade a test spin in the Fiesta for some Red Moon :)

Great to hear that Ford is brining the Fiesta to the US market! This along with their rallying efforts should give the car great exposure here in the States. Let’s hope they also bring the Focus RS!

This sounds like an awesome adventure for the both of you. With your background in digital marketing and car knowledge I think that you could help bring the Fiesta Movement to life in the US. I am with Ben though, if you do win then I want to test drive the new car.

When do you find out if you won? I have an idea…Since your Audi is going to be sitting in storage, I will just borrow it for the year. I will pay for my own insurance and gas. Deal?

    Good Luck!

  8. All the best..You will surely win..
