Joe’s Bagged B8.5 S4 on AG F110s

The first featured ride of 2017 is another Colorado car shot by my friend Natani Atkins Photography and belongs to a longtime reader of this blog named Joe. Joe previously owned a B7 A4 but has now upgraded to a 2014 B8.5 Audi S4 that is extensively modified. The car started in OEM Ice Silver finish before going through several color changes including 3M Matte Yellow, 3M Satin Perfect Blue, and now 3M Gloss Red Metallic. Add bags, wheels, performance upgrades, and a whole slew of OEM+ parts and you’ve arrived at the cars current state here.

Wheels and suspension make the car, and Joe’s S4 is no exception. Equipped with Accuair + Bilstein air ride setup, this car is ready for show and go. The wheels are 19×10 ET35 Avant Garde 3-piece F110 with matte silver lips and a Stoptech ST-60 355mm big brake kit peaking out behind. This setup looks great and the wheels & brakes follow the theme of the car – a little showy, but still super functional with a race mesh design and very visible BBK. The rear brakes match with JHM 2 piece rear rotors. Previously the car had Airlift Performance Bags & Airlift V2 management, but he had a change of heart and went back to a static setup on KW V3s for a while. While Joe enjoyed the coilover handling, the convenience of bags was undeniable and the sport-oriented offerings from Accuair have really come a long way, so he went back to bags on Accuair bags + Bilstein shocks and Airlift 3P Management.

Up front the car has a number of modifications including an RS style front bumper and grille, OSIR CF ring holder, E-codes and Europrice folding mirrors. It’s very OEM looking, but definitely not stock either. You can also see a 25″ LED lightbar peaking out the lower part of the grille, if you’re curious what that was. The front lip was then plasti-dipped in aluminum to complete the “OEM” look and also add some durability to the lower part of the bumper.

Performance wise Joe has AWE Tuning Resonated Exhaust, APR Stage II+ tune and pulley, and shortly after was brought to 3ZERO3 Motorsports for Stoptech ST-60 BBK and JHM 2-piece rears. Fast-forward about a year later, the car was brought back to Bluewater Performance for the APR DL501 TCU and ECU update. Joe was also fortunate enough to have the opportunity to be part of the group-buy for the first initial batch for the AMS Supercharger Cooler Systems that was floating around Audizine, which definitely helps with the common heatsoaking with these supercharged 3.0L engines.

Out back the car has a CF roof spoiler, CF trunk spoiler, Deval rear diffuser, and has been completely debadged. The tailights have a light 3M tint, and the diffuser has been matched to the front lip. Inside, while not pictured, features a Blackvue DR-650 2-Channel Dashcam, Custom Trunk Setup + Floor for the air ride, JL Audio 8” Microsub+, P3 Cars Vent Boost Gauge, Passport Escort 9500ix with Blendmount, Piano Black Dash Trim, SuperbrightLEDs, and various VAGCOM tweaks, and other Euro/OEM touches.

Joe would like to thank Audi Denver, Modbargains, Bluewater Performance, 3Zero3 Motorsports, Sterlings Customs, Avant Garde, and Simply Fresh Fitment for help with the build.

And as an added bonus, here is a picture in the car’s previous color, 3M Matte Yellow.
