2006 Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster

I purchased this 2006 Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster (LP580) in January of 2023 with 14,190 miles on the clock. The car now has 18,1XX miles as of this writing (3/31/2025), roughly 4K miles of enjoyment under my caretaking. It has zero accidents and is a fully clean CarFax with no mileage discrepancies or issues – there are no stories here, it’s just a very clean and well maintained Murcielago Roadster…which is increasingly hard to find, as the Murcielago Owners database indicates over 58% of Murcielagos have a marked title. There were only 438 LP580 Roadsters sold globally, many of which are non-US or have perished, making this a very rare car. It is finished in Grigio Antares, one of only 208 Murcielagos sold in that color, and is fully loaded with an extended carbon fiber package on the inside (door sills, full interior, engine covers, etc.) that is rare to see.

Noteable recent (and documented!) service history by me has included:

  • Annual maintenance at Yost Auto Tailoring including oil change and inspection ($844.66 per visit/year), last done November 2024, and previous receipts from 2023 as well.
  • New OEM Starter Motor – $8,734.18 (including installation – ouch) to replace original unit that was starting to go out, installed by Yost in November 2024.
  • New Coil Packs + Spark Plugs – preventative maintenance to improve idle and running. Recommended every 3 years for plugs, 5 years for coil packs. Upgraded to R8 Coil Packs and NGK Laser Iridium Plugs.
  • New Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires (F&R) – approximately $3K in tires, date code of 2024 (front) and 2023 (rear). These are very difficult to find as Pirelli only produces them in batches and they are often out of stock – and the only tire approved by Lamborghini to not cause issues with the AWD system.
  • New OEM Battery – installed in December 2022 prior to taking delivery, always kept on CTEK trickle charger since acquiring and includes a hardwired CTEK quick disconnect for easy charging
  • STEK Windshield PPF – Paint Protection Film made specifically for windshields to protect the OEM glass, which costs roughly $15K if cracked since the glass is super expensive and the install requires you taking the dash out – highly recommended for piece of mind!
  • Wheels Refinished – Under my care, the wheels were repainted to factory hypersilver ($1500) as a previous owner had turned the gunmetal. This is how it came from the factory.
  • Aftermarket Parking Top – I purchased a “parking top” for $1,100 that serves as a good way to cover the roof when out and about and you don’t want to install the cumbersome OEM top (which I also have). Great for car shows or temporary storage.
  • Skid Plates – installed skid plates under front bumper for additional protection ($700)
  • Ceramic Coating + Detailing – my good friends at Elite Finish have also done a good deal of detailing work including deep cleaning the alcantara, black PPF over the A pillars, aforementioned windshield PPF, and trimming and cleaning up some of the existing PPF. They then paint corrected and coated the car and wheels using CQUARTZ Finest. The entire body of the car is covered in PPF.
  • E-Gear Snap Reading – when I purchased the vehicle, it had an 87% snap reading / clutch life remaining. I can get an updated snap reading done for a serious buyer, but assume after 4K miles there is still plenty of life left (typically lifespan of an E-Gear clutch is 12K miles give or take).
  • OEM Steering Wheel – the car came with an aftermarket steering wheel which I didn’t personally care for and prefer to keep my cars all OEM. As such, I found a fellow Murcielago owner in SoCal to trade wheels so that I could have an OEM wheel again.
  • Full OEM tool kit, convertible top, car cover, owners manual, etc. is included with the sale – everything is in tact, nothing is missing.

Service records:

I’ve maintained this car to a very high standard and it currently needs nothing, other than a new home. I am considering sale to move into a Diablo. With multiple manual conversion kits available now for the Murcielago, it’s an ideal time to buy an E-Gear while the prices are still reasonable.

I’m in no rush to sell because I love this car, but if I find a buyer that will free up the garage space and financial situation enough to pursue a Diablo more seriously. The car is kept in a climate controlled garage in San Diego CA always on a trickle charger and is cleaned regularly with WashMist water-less detailer to avoid any water on the coil packs / engine bay.

I welcome any questions, and happy to pull a CarFax and take videos or arrange a showing for interested parties. Serious buyers can test drive, but need proof of funds first.

VIN: ZHWBU26S96LA02039

PS – If you refer someone who ends up buying the car, I’ll happily pay a $500 finders fee for the introduction. Not interested in trades unless its for a Diablo, LM002, or similar (e.g. 12 cylinders, Italian, and from the 90s or early 2000s).

And here are some additional photos over the last 1-2 years showing additional details and angles – some have the old wheel finish, which I can have redone if the buyer prefers for the right price by my shop (Elite Finish):
