Cassie’s Imola Yellow B7 Audi S4 Avant

If you can’t tell by now, I love Avants – especially those in rare colors, such as last month’s feature of Prezzi’s Merlin Purple RS4…so when I saw Instagrammer @casssssandrass and her fiance Edgar picked up this Imola Yellow B7 S4 Avant, I was immediately hooked, tuning in regularly to see how she’d mod the car – and Cassie wasted no time getting her S4 dialed in.

Cassie and her fiance Edgar already had a set of 18×10 ET32 CCW Classics ready to go, but these are the kind of wheels that don’t look right without a proper drop first, so Cassie ordered some BC Coilovers (BR Type) to give the car an altitude adjustment. The wheels are wrapped in 225/40/18 Hankook Ventus V12 tires giving the car a great stance with just the right amount of stretch to make it all work.

Up front the car features an OEM RS4 Grille, Clear Corners, LED turn signals, Yellow DRLs, Yellow Fogs, and color matched reflectors to give the car an OEM/Euro look. These are some of my favorite mods as well, as they really update the front end of the car without looking aftermarket.

In the rear, she debadged the hatch and added LED License Plate bulbs and LED reverse bulbs. The car has a custom 2.5″ exhaust with an X-pipe and Magnaflow mufflers to wake up the V8 engine, and the engine mods are rounded out with an R8 oil cap and Porsche Coolant Cap.

The interior was already pretty great from the factory, so an iSimple iPod Cable and USP Motorsports LED Interior Kit were added just to give it a nice touch without going over the top.

The rarity of the car definitely completes the package – B7 S4 Avants are hard enough to find, yet alone in Imola Yellow. The rarity was definitely a deciding factor in purchasing the car, but once Cassie test drove it she knew it was for her – the sound, the power, the comfort…it was perfect!

Best of all, an AWD V8 Wagon makes it an extremely versatile car – great for winters and summers alike, not to mention plenty of room for Cassie’s two dogs and all of her things.

  1. 3 years later and I still miss my Avant. Just looked at 2 S4 Avants a Brilliant Red and a Dolphin Grey. Too many miles but still looking. Beautiful Imola Avant…

  2. nick– purchased an 04 s4 avant recently almost show room condition manual! reminds me of my beloved ’71 2002 but on steroids how about the alleged timing belt problem??
    thanks mike

  3. It’s hit or miss Mike, depends a lot on mileage too. You’ll hear the chain “rattle” before it goes out or starts to become a problem.

  4. Having a love affair with my 07/B7 Black on Black loaded S4 Avant. Had it 5 years now, just coming up on 73K miles. I like it when my wife drives it to pick up the kids as it sounds superb with the Stasis Exhaust. Love to see it coming and going… I want to upgrade the wheels Nick and I’ll be sending you this question; if i go with 19”s or 20’s… do I need to lower it? I think the S4 Avant is already lowered? Thanks, Eric in Ohio….

  5. Hey thanks for the quick reply. I keep going back and forth on this notion and I’ll just wait… till an R8 is obtainable… LOL Still love the Avant… it gets looks from those who know what it is. Those who don’t just think it is loud. Thanks again… still reading through your site. e!

  6. Yeah man, it’s a great car – hold on to it for as long as you can! Not many avants out there either, definitely a unicorn 🙂

  7. So funny you mention Unicorn… a guy at a light said that to me and I did not get it till I saw ‘that’ movie. LOL
