Audi Club of Arizona’s Quattro de Mayo 2013

Audi Car Show

I had the privilege of attending and helping organize the Audi Club of Arizona’s fifth annual “Quattro de Mayo” car show last weekend at GoodSpeed Performance Lab and wanted to share some pictures and stories from this great event. There was a turnout of about 50-60 cars ranging from R8s to several C5 RS6s and many other beautiful Audis in between. The owners were as diverse as their cars, but everyone shared a passion for the Audi brand and their cars in particular.

Whether it was discussing modifications, our favorite cars, or just life in general, it was a very social event. With so many four ringed cars packed in a small parking area, it facilitated great “networking” with fellow Audi enthusiasts.

Audi TT-SAnyone who has ever helped organize a car show or event, no matter how big or small, knows it’s not as easy as it looks. Logistics can be challenging, and most importantly you have to have a good spot to host the event. The Audi Club of Arizona has been very lucky to have the support of GoodSpeed Performance Lab each year. The shop literally closes down their operations to host the event, and all of their staff help ensure the event is a success. This happens to be one of the most well respected (and busy) shops in Arizona, so for them to not take any appointments and open up their shop to us is truly something special.

Additional sponsors and vendors included Audi North Scottsdale and Phoenix Collision and Custom Paint who generously donated to the free raffle for attendees.

Last but not least, the show had a free barbeque for attendees. Suprisingly, I manned the grill and was flipping burgers. I rarely get to grill at home as my condo association bans them, so that was nice. I cooked up over 100 burgers and hot dogs, so I think I got my fix of grilling for a while!

B8 S4There were a lot more cars there than I have words to say so I’ll let the pictures do the talking. Cheers!
