Ove’s B7 Audi A4 Avant in Norway
Here’s another avant from across the pond, this time a lovely B7 A4 Avant in Norway owned by Ove. Although we can get B7 Avants here in the US, this avant is unique for two reasons – it has a 2.0 TDI engine (not available in the US), and a truly unique style. As an added bonus, Ove provided me a few pictures of the RS2 he owned previously, which you can find near the end of this post.
I first saw pictures of this car in winter mode and WOW, it is cool. While maybe not for everyone, you have to admire the unique style that infuses “stance” with rally. I don’t think I’ve seen anyone rock fog lamps like this car on a newer platform Audi, but I love how it pays homage to Audi’s 80s-era rally cars. The wild wheels and stance infuse the old school with the new school for a look that is one of a kind…
Even more unique, is that this car keeps this style through summer and winter, albeit with different looks. Those who live in snowy climates often change the wheels in the winter and raise their suspension so that the winter, salt/sand and other road debris doesn’t take its toll on their car and wheel setup. Not Ove, who runs snow tires but stays low and wide otherwise on Rotiform BLQ replicas powdercoated light blue in 8.5×19 ET45 with 25mm H&R spacers, and Achillies winter tires in 225/35R19. He then adds the foglights, swaps out a BMX bike for a snowboard, changes the headlight film and adds three fog lights above.
In summer, the car ditches the light blue accents for yellow with a set of Zito 935 9.5×19 ET30 with Achillies ATR Sport tires in 225\35R19. The BMX bike was powdercoated yellow to match the wheels, and the Lamin-X headlight film is also changed out to yellow to pull the theme off completely.
The car features other mods inside out to make this car the full package. His other mods include:
- Supersport coilovers
- FK Bumpstops
- S4 Grill
- Cupra-R lip
- Black s-line emblems
- Black sidemarkers
- Lamin-x on the headlights and rear lights
- Black rear diffuser
- Black chrome exhaust
- Aluminium plate under the engine
- LED licence plate bulbs
- LED interior lights
- Thule roofbars
- Thule bike carrier
- Thule fairing (modified to get it longer forward )
- Thule snowboard carrier
Ove is no stranger to avants, and as a bonus he also provided pictures of his RS2 which he no longer owns. The RS2 is a car that needs to introduction, as it’s one of the most coveted and iconic Audis ever built. Here are a few pictures of the pristine RS2 Ove owned previous to the B7 above:
And there you have it – year ’round style from Norway on this B7 TDI Avant. Thanks Ove!
I own a a4 avant 3.2l b7 myself and would like to know how you were able to install those sweet fog lamps, please any advice or break down on how you design it would be great.
I’m afraid I don’t have Ove’s contact information anymore but try to look him up on Audizine. It shouldn’t be too hard to wire up, no worse than my S6 LEDs mod anyway 🙂
Hallo,
Wher can you rock this fog lights avalibale for purchase?! Please help and good reply! Thank you
Hi Andreas – it would be a custom project as there is no plug and play kit for this, so you can pretty much buy any fog lamps you prefer. I like the Hella lamps personally.
Hi Nick!
Do you know the color code on the yellow rims?
