Tom’s B7 Audi A4 S-Line

The latest featured ride comes from the UK owned by Tom Sogel with photos by Julo Olsiak Photography & Design and the video below done by f Erik Boros Productions. It’s a B7 A4 S-line quattro 6 speed manual sedan in metallic silver – and she’s a beaut.

Tommy picked up the car a year ago completely stock other than the S-line body work and some lowering springs which he promptly removed. His goal in modifying the car was to increasing  reliability, handling, and safety first, so he opted to go the smart route and start by establishing a solid foundation rather than skiping straight to a tune or adding power. His first mod was upgrading the brakes, adding an RS4 rear sway bar and lowering springs, and swapping out all of the fluids.

Next Tommy moved on to the visual part of tuning with the wheels, window tints, and lighting. Living on a  tight budget, Tommy has opted to mod the car little by little and seems to be doing an amazing job at stretch his Euro. Recently he’s added a Carbonio intake and upgraded diverter valve, and is in the market for a new front mount intercooler set up and catch can. Once those remaining mods are done – then he plans to add a tune and continue building the power from there, making it a wolf dressed in sheep’s clothing when its all said and done.

As you can see, it’s amazing what a few simple mods can do to really wake up the A4, both visually and performance wise. Seeing this car really made me miss my old A4, and that’s why it’s this month’s Featured Ride.

  1. I really like the red calipers. I have been looking online to replace my stock ones but cannot find any that will fit with my S-Line package. Am I right in that Tommy painted his stock calipers? If you have any suggestions as to where I might be able to find professionally painted calipers to fit my B7 A7 S-Line I would jump on them. Thanks.

  2. Yeah, it’s just paint. You really don’t even need a professional for this, it’s really easy to apply. Just pick up some speciality paint and make sure to give the calipers a good cleaning first, then mask everything off and spray – and even if you get some overspray on the rotors its not a big deal, it will bake off anyway.
